RAM and Trio Kavak team up for the season finale to present In the New Sun, an evening of 21st century works written for flute, viola, and harp. Three world premieres by RAM composers David Fetherolf, Gilbert Galindo, and Wang Jie will be heard along with music by RAM’s call for scores winner Christopher Dietz and guest composer Mark Fromm from the Pittsburgh composers’ collective Alia Musica. This program takes you on an adventure casting out evil, going into the world of Whitman, exploring Greek mythology, on a sonic ride into celestial orbit, and dancing to subway train tunes. You will have two chances to catch this program:
Sunday, May 18 @ 6pm at the Secret Theatre
Friday, May 23 @ 8pm at Benzaquen Hall at the DiMenna Center
